Avon Tuning HD (ATHD), and automotive division Avon Tuning, has completed a full state-of-the-art renovation of its existing premises to allow the whole business to meet the increasing global demand from remapping customers.
The redevelopment of its site near Bristol has been a two-year process, that now includes a bespoke research and development centre, alongside a fully fitted workshop and training facility to support its 175-strong network of agricultural agents, along with automotive agents. The improvements will help the business to continue to provide a high-quality service and support to all agents and remapping users.
Gareth Jones, director at Avon Tuning and ATHD, explains why the upgrades were essential. “Our new workshop and office facilities reflect the future direction of Avon Tuning and ATHD. Our focus is firmly on research and development, alongside expanding and supporting our global agent network. The new facility matches the demand we are experiencing, especially in agriculture, as users look to maximise efficiencies of their existing equipment for greater output and potential fuel savings.”
The building developments also include a dedicated training room for in-house practical and theory training for agents, and a new office space for sharing ideas between the automotive and HD divisions, enhancing the productivity of the business.
“Some users might not be aware of the research and development we undertake to ensure our maps are the safest and most reliable they can be. To help this process, we have added a second dyno cell, with increased cooling and exhaust extraction capabilities to enhance our R&D capacity. Our New Holland T5 training tractor allows us to show new and existing agricultural agents the process of adding maps onto tractors.”
Gareth concludes: “We have been professionally remapping agricultural equipment for over a decade now and our HD agent network has grown significantly over the past five years to reflect demand from farmers and growers. The new facility allows continued growth and support to engineers when they are installing remaps on farms.”
