Griffon Marine is looking to grow its team of welders at the Trafalgar Wharf shipyard in Portchester, Hampshire, as part of its ongoing expansion in marine engineering.
The company, recognised for its hovercrafts and a wide range of marine services, recently underwent a rebrand to highlight its broader capabilities. As part of this growth strategy, Griffon Marine aims to assemble the “best aluminium welding team in the UK”.
The company was recently named Large Business of the Year at the Hampshire Business Awards, organised by The Business Magazine in collaboration with Insider, reflecting its strong local and industry reputation.
Dean Dominy, head of Griffon Marine Shipyard, commented on the expansion: “Since the re-branding of Griffon Hoverwork into Griffon Marine and the establishment of our three distinct divisions, we’ve seen a significant level of interest in our manufacturing capabilities. Several new orders have already been confirmed, and our shipyard is busier than ever. To meet this demand, we’re looking for highly skilled welders who want to be part of an industry-leading team – people who bring ambition, talent and pride in their craft.”
