Wildflower Turf Ltd Strengthens Leadership Amid Biodiversity Expansion

Wildflower Turf Ltd, a Hampshire-based specialist in creating biodiversity-friendly wildflower environments, has announced a series of internal leadership promotions, reflecting ongoing expansion and long-term growth.

Olly Hewetson-Brown has been appointed Deputy Managing Director, having previously served as Production Assistant Manager. In addition, Charlie Davison has been promoted to Commercial Director, while Samuel Monaghan joins the leadership team as Production Director. The appointments underline the company’s dedication to nurturing talent from within.

The company has a deep-rooted family history, with the Hewetson-Browns operating in Hampshire for more than fifty years. Wildflower Turf Ltd has become a recognised authority in the UK wildflower sector, contributing to numerous public realm and environmental projects across the country.

Among the firm’s notable projects is the supply of wildflower turf for the Athletes’ Village at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The company has more recently been involved in biodiversity improvements at Leeds Skelton Lake Services Green Roof, the Seafield Park Mini Forest in Hampshire, and the Queen’s memorial garden, delivering bespoke turf solutions for each.

In line with its reputation for innovation, Wildflower Turf Ltd has developed eco-conscious products designed to comply with Environmental, Social and Governance standards, as well as Biodiversity Net Gain obligations.

James Hewetson-Brown, co-founder and Managing Director, said: “What we’ve seen over the past two decades is the business evolve from a small farming diversification into a highly capable team delivering wildflower habitats at real scale. Having the right people stepping into leadership roles is essential as the business continues to grow and mature.

“Long-term thinking has always been central to what we do. When wildflower habitats are designed and delivered properly, they can last for decades, and that principle remains fundamental as the company enters its next phase. With a strong team in place, we’re excited about the opportunities ahead and the role we can continue to play in supporting biodiversity at scale.”
