Colleagues from Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties have raised £3,095 for charity after taking part in the homebuilder’s annual fundraising event.
Now in its 12th year, the Taylor Wimpey Challenge has so far raised over £1.6 million for the Youth Adventure Trust (YAT), a charity which inspires vulnerable young people through outdoor adventure, as well as other regional charities across the country.
On Saturday 16th May 2026, over 300 Taylor Wimpey employees, across 49 teams completed a hike along the north Devon coastline, followed by a series of competitive creative and strategic tasks.
Money raised by the team from Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties will be donated to the YAT and Maggie’s, a charity that offers support to people with cancer and their families.
Among the participants from Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties was Ian Mcfaul, Technical Director. He said: “The Taylor Wimpey Challenge is always a fantastic event. Not only does it bring together employees from across the business, but more importantly, it raises a huge amount of money for extremely worthy charities. This year has been no different and I’m extremely proud of our team for their effort in raising much needed donations for the YAT and Maggie’s.”
Mark Davey, CEO at the Youth Adventure Trust, said: “It has been another fantastic year for the Taylor Wimpey Challenge, with all of the participants embracing the activities with camaraderie and a great sense of humour. As always, we’re very appreciative of their efforts in support of our mission to help young people fulfil their potential and lead positive lives. Funding from this year’s event will make a huge difference to us and we look forward to continuing our partnership into 2027.”
