Merriments Gardens is inviting guests to get into the festive spirit and create their own Christmas wreath at a hands-on workshop on Saturday 28 November 2026.
Led by Merriments gardener Sarah, the relaxed three-hour course will guide participants as they make a wreath to take home. The £45 ticket also includes tea or coffee, a mince pie and time to enjoy a walk around the gardens.
With a maximum of just 10 participants, the workshop offers an intimate seasonal experience and early booking is recommended. Places must be booked in advance.

Set just off the A21 before the village of Hurst Green, Merriments is an easy-to-reach countryside escape in East Sussex. The workshop gives visitors the chance to combine a festive activity with seasonal refreshments and time in the four-acre gardens.

The gardens and Conservatory Café are open daily throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy the café without purchasing garden admission; standard garden admission is £8 for adults, while children under 15 enter free.
Since the site was acquired by Caravan Tech, a well-established family-run business, Merriments has undergone extensive renovation, including the opening of a new conservatory café. Visitors can now combine a garden walk with freshly prepared food and drink in a relaxed countryside setting.
