R.T. Page & Sons acquisition by 4PL strengthens Ford logistics sector

A long-established West Sussex logistics firm has been acquired by a local family-run company in a deal supported by Brighton’s SRC Corporate Finance. R.T. Page & Sons, based in Ford, provides transport, storage, handling and logistics services from its 5.5-acre headquarters, which includes more than 80,000 sq ft of warehouse space.

The company has now joined forces with fellow Ford-based logistics specialist 4PL, which focuses on order fulfilment, supplier deliveries and customer returns. The acquisition brings together two respected names in the regional logistics sector, creating a stronger, more comprehensive service offering for clients across the South East.

SRC Corporate Finance, led by Rupert Rawcliffe, Ben Valentine and Ryan Seibel, advised the shareholders of R.T. Page & Sons on the transaction.

Rob Burton, founder and chair of 4PL, said: “4PL is delighted to announce the successful acquisition of R.T. Page & Sons, marking an exciting new chapter for both companies. We believe there is great synergy between the two businesses, and this acquisition represents a strong strategic fit that will support the continued growth and success of both organisations. Communications with SRC CF were excellent throughout the process, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to their team for their support and professionalism in helping to bring this deal to completion. This acquisition underscores 4PL’s commitment to growth and partnership as we continue to build a stronger, more dynamic future together.”

Also advising R.T. Page & Sons were Lewis Brownlee, led by Sam Ede and David Willis, and Acumen Law, with legal advice from Alvin Ittoo and property advice from Donna Spence.

The deal marks a significant development for both companies and strengthens the position of Ford as a growing hub for logistics and distribution services in the South East.
