Hastings Direct, one of the UK’s largest and fastest-growing digital insurers, is announcing plans to hire more than 500 people across a range of business areas over the next 12 months. The hiring reflects continued strong growth in customer numbers and ambitious plans for the future, with the company approaching the 5 million customer milestone.
The 500 roles span customer-facing, claims, pricing, underwriting, commercial, data and technology teams. Hastings is looking for both experienced professionals and talented graduates and apprentices, while also investing significantly in training, development and promotions for its existing colleagues.
Recruitment will be nationwide, supported by Hastings’ flexible working policy, with a focus on its core sites in Bexhill and Leicester as well as its offices in London and Gibraltar.
Hastings’ people investments are coupled with continued large-scale investment into technology, its mobile app and AI. The combination will help unlock the next phase of customer growth, as well as supporting the continued achievement of Hastings’ efficiency and profit ambitions. The Hastings Direct app remains one of the most highly rated and most used insurance apps in the country.
