Defending champion Luke Littler tops the list of BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix odds after the first-round draw was completed last week, with the defending champion a red-hot 8/13 favourite to successfully retain his title in Leicester.
Littler claimed his first World Grand Prix crown last year, defeating Luke Humphries in the final and begins his title defence against Luke Woodhouse in the opening round of this year’s unique double-in, double-out tournament.
Humphries is rated the biggest threat to Littler’s chances of making it two-in-a-row according to the early odds, with the sponsors chalking up the 2023 World Grand Prix winner as 6/1 second-favourite ahead of his first-round meeting with Dave Chisnall.
The draw has also produced an intriguing all-Dutch first-round clash, as 2026 World Championship finalist Gian van Veen was paired with 2020 World Grand Prix runner-up Dirk van Duijvenbode. Van Veen is fourth favourite for the title at 14/1 while Gerwyn Price, who faces Poland’s Sebastian Białecki in the opening round, is third favourite at 10/1.
The tournament gets underway on Monday, September 28, with the BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix champion set to be crowned on Sunday, October 4.
